Significant Annual Sales Increase For Hugo Boss

HUGO BOSS enjoyed a significant increase in annual sales and earnings for 2012, meeting all proposed targets. The brand is now planning for further profitable growth throughout 2013.
"Our success in the past year is based primarily on the appeal of our brands and our business model," said Claus-Dietrich Lahrs, CEO of Hugo Boss AG. "We also see major opportunities to continue to grow profitably and further enhance the perception of our brands in 2013, particularly by means of strong growth in the group's own retail business."
Hugo Boss sales rose by 18 per cent in the fourth quarter of last year - driven by all regions, but with figures particularly strong in Europe and America. Overall, sales rose by 14 per cent, with the group's retail business posting higher figures than wholesale for the first time. The retail network was expanded by 218 stores in 2012, to make a total of 840 Hugo Boss boutiques internationally.
